Not Me Monday

Happy Monday Morning and welcome to another edition of Team D Not Me Monday's. Not Me Monday's were started by McMama. Check out her blog to see what everyone else did NOT do this past week.

This week Bill and I did NOT go away and stay overnight in a hotel, our first time since our honeymoon 4yrs ago. We went to Leavenworth and stayed in a small, cute, off the beaten path Motel. It was so quaint...just how I like them.

It was NOT so relaxing and enjoyable making us wish we had another day.

We did NOT order in pizza, watch movies and just lay around the hotel room. Leading Bill to say "You know we could've just done this at home" ........Ummm, yeah right like we would.

The motel room did NOT have the biggest jacuzzi jetted tub that I have ever seen. I did NOT take 2 bubble baths all by myself in a 24hr period.

I did NOT have Bill take a picture of me in one of my bubble baths and I did NOT just post it for everyone to see.

Yesterday, I did NOT find a newborn diaper next to my side of the bed. Micah is 4months old and I couldn't have possibly forgotten about a newborn diaper for 4months, could I have???

This morning I did NOT spill hot coffee on myself while I was sitting on the couch. I did NOT fall asleep and forget I had coffee in my hand. I did NOT wake up suddenly and have to change my pjs and clean up the couch. I do NOT have red marks on my legs from the hot coffee.

I have NOT eaten so much Zucchini this week that I am re-thinking planting a Zucchini plant next year. Who knew that a single zucchini plant could produce so many of these suckers!!

Not Me Monday - camping style

It's Monday and so that means Not Me Monday over at MckMama's. And it's been awhile since I've done one, so here we go.....

This weekend we did NOT go camping for 24hrs with our friends.

It was NOT my idea to go camping for 24hrs. I mean seriously would I suggest camping with 3 small children for only 24hrs? Didn't we already do this once? What sane mother would do this again?

When we arrived at the campsite & began setting up I did NOT have a little melt down with my hubby in front of our friends.

There was so much dirt that and the girls did NOT get dirty within 5Min's of arriving. And I did NOT spend almost the entire time fretting about all this said dirt.

I did NOT pack 5 outfits for the girls, thinking it was over kill. They did NOT go through every outfit and I did NOT tell Bill "I should've packed more" on our way home.

It did NOT start raining shortly after we arrived & we did NOT set up blue tarps between the trucks to try to combat the rain.

This was NOT the conversation I heard Bill having with the girls yesterday morning as we tried to keep them quiet at 6am.

Bill - "Girls do you know what a clam is?"

Girls - "no"

Bill - "A clam lives in the water and does clammy things while keeping it's mouth shut and is quiet"

Girls - "why?"

Bill - "Because that's what they do"

Bill - "Can you guys do this?" and he demonstrates keeping his mouth shut tightly.

I did NOT give him a hard time for the rest of the day about clams doing "clammy things". Does anyone else know what "clammy things" means? ha,ha ;o)

I did NOT eat waay to much this weekend and am NOT feeling it today.

Not Me Monday

It's Monday morning and therefore time to report via Not Me Monday.

**I did NOT buy a ticket to see the new movie Eclipse as well as the first two in the movie series. This would've resulted in a 6hr movie marathon with all my girlfriends.

**At the last minute I did NOT decide to attend only the 2ND and the 3rd movie.



**As the night wore on I did NOT find myself in a very serious and painful situation in regards to pumping. I did NOT forget a hand pump at home. I did NOT miss 2 of Micah's feedings during this time. And this did NOT result in me having to go the bathroom and relieve my very sore "milkmaids"



**I did NOT try to aim the stream into the toilet and this did NOT result in spray going everywhere in the stall. It did NOT look like a little boy had gone to the bathroom in the stall when I was done.



**I did NOT still leak all over my shirt by the end of the final movie and have to ride home with a wet shirt. Good thing everyone was tired at 2:30am and didn't notice my wet shirt!



**Yesterday, at the parade I did NOT pull this out of my jean pocket. Ahhh, the life of a mom.







**I am totally against sparklers for little kids, they burn so hot and are very dangerous. I did NOT relent & let the girls do sparklers with daddy yesterday.



**They did NOT have a blast & want to do more....great!

Not Me Monday

So this past week was busy but there were a few embarrassing things to report via Not Me Monday.

I most certainly did NOT nurse Micah while sitting outside in our side yard while the girls played. Did I mention the neighbors window looks directly down on our yard and could see if they were to look out the window. Did I mention that I did NOT use a cover up and just let it all hang out?

I did NOT help Ellia to pee at the local park behind some tree's b/c there was no bathroom and didn't want to load all the kids into the car to drive down the street to a bathroom. Who would teach their daughter to pee outside? She did NOT later that night take off her pants and pee in the yard & then did NOT proceed to squat and grunt b/c she had to poop too.

This past week I did NOT wear my pj's every day until at least noon and then I did NOT just shower and put them back on at least 2x.

While changing Addie's diaper, I did NOT drop one of the hard poops on the floor when I tried to push the diaper out of the way. I did NOT realize that some had fallen onto the floor until hours later when the girls were playing with a round, hard, brown ball.

I did NOT work out for the first time since having the baby & only make it 5Min's on the elliptical. And my legs were NOT sooo sore for the next 24hrs from only 5Min's. There is no way that I am that out of shape.

Not Me Monday

What did I NOT do this week in my crazy world with 3 kids under 3. Well read below and find out. And don't forget to check out MckMama's blog, she created Not Me Mondays as therapy for us mom's. Have fun!




This last week I did NOT run out of milk while feeding the girls cereal and I did NOT add a little water to their bowls of cereal. It's Nonfat milk, a little more water couldn't hurt right?



I did NOT take a clothespin and clip back Addie's hair while she was eating because I was too lazy to run upstairs and get a rubber band.



Yesterday, I did NOT allow the girls to go out in their pj's and raincoats to play while I worked a bit in the yard. They did NOT get soaking wet & muddy. They did enjoy every minute of it.



One day this week when I took a nap, I did NOT sleep with Micah cradled in my arms and I did NOT drool on his head. When I woke up I did NOT see all the wetness in his hair and wonder how the heck he got wet.

Not Me Monday

nAre you feeling guilty for going camping with your family, but then coming home at bedtime to sleep with your own pillow? Overcome with embarrassment when you tripped and nearly fell in front of a group of people in a parking lot? Well, don’t be! Not Me! Monday was born out of MckMama's desire to admit some of her imperfections and reveal a few moments she'd rather forget. You may find it therapeutic to join in and do the same thing! I know I sure do.


Last Sunday, I did NOT lay our son down on the bathroom floor at church to change his diaper & go pee myself b/c they didn't have a baby changing station. (our church is in a different building for a few weeks)

I did NOT use paper towels to shove under his bum to protect him from the above mentioned floor. Who said mom's weren't creative?

This past week I did NOT have to do the shake method in the bathroom b/c we were out of TP and then I had to walk dangerously into the next room with my undies down my legs, afraid to pull them up. I did NOT just type this!

I have NOT begun wearing an apron whenever I am in the kitchen b/c I just cant keep from spilling stuff on me. And I am tired of staining clothes, and buying new clothes isn't an option financially or weight wise. I could NOT be that messy!

I did NOT tell Bill I had to use the bathroom when I really didn't but just wanted too so I could read the new People & get a few minutes to myself. .

Bill and Ellia went on a bus ride this last week. Her first one and I did NOT make Bill take the camera along and document it for me. He did NOT give me a look of disgust and did NOT agree to do it when I started crying.

Micah turned 1month last week and I did NOT pose him for pictures in Bill's Boston Redsox hat for over 10mins, but yet haven't posted the pictures yet.

I did NOT cry this morning when Bill left for work, which did NOT result in both girls crying and us all falling into a heap on the floor crying together.

Ahhh, it's going to be a great week. What did you NOT do this past week?

Not Me Monday - Baby Boy style

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This was created by MckMama, head on over to her blog to see what she and everyone else have NOT been doing this week!

In the last 5weeks I did NOT go to the Maternity Triage unit 5x before finally being admitted on my 5Th visit.

I have NOT been having contractions almost daily since I was 30 weeks pregnant and these contractions did NOT end up materializing into real labor until I was 37 weeks & 2 days along.

My Mother came to town at the beginning of April and until 2 days ago I had NOT done any dishes, laundry or cleaning what so ever!! She is leaving on Saturday and I do NOT know what I am going to do.

With the girls I was against baby wearing. The idea of having a baby strapped to me in a clingy style wrap wasn't appealing. I did NOT buy one this time around after seeing a friend using one & raving about how much she loved it. I do NOT love, love, love using my moby wrap.

Breastfeeding this time around wasn't on my agenda. With 2 busy little girls and a newborn I just thought it wasn't going to be my friend. I however changed my mind at the last minute, borrowed a friends pump and am breastfeeding Micah. And I am NOT enjoying these very special bonding moments tremendously with my little man.

Not Me Monday on Tuesday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This was created by MckMama, head on over to her blog to see what she and everyone else have NOT been doing this week! (Although, MckMama is in Kenya this week, so she might not be there for Not Me! Monday! But go there anyway to see all about her adventures in Kenya.)

I did NOT create a "honey to do list" for Bill this weekend since he was off for 3 days. He did NOT come close to getting the list complete.

He did NOT instead make 4 new duck calls thus resulting in a lot of time in the garage. He did NOT try to rationalize his actions by saying to me yesterday "I am trying to get good at this so I can start selling them"

Our sweet and angelic Ellia did NOT throw a tantrum/fit for 2+hrs on Sunday night. She did NOT wear herself out & finally fall asleep in her bed at 6:30. Bill and I were NOT exhausted ourselves and fall asleep by 9 o'clock.

I have NOT been craving a juicy steak for days and it was NOT all I could think about all week. So on Friday night when Bill called to see what was for dinner I did NOT beg & plead with him to take us out to dinner at Outback for steaks. He did NOT finally succumb to my pleading and we did NOT wait 30 Min's on a busy Friday night to have that juicy steak. The girls did NOT act up, spill food, scream, & just generally act crazy, NOT our girls. And I did NOT end up taking half the steak & potato home and I did NOT eat it for breakfast the next morning ...... cold.

My tummy is NOT so big that it is inhabiting me from now doing dishes. That's right folks, I am officially too big to do dishes.....NOT joking. This kid is sooo much out front that it hits the edge of the sink & if I have to bend in to get something out of the sink it pushes into my tummy. This never happened with the girls!!!

Not Me Monday - scrapbooking weekend style

This weekend I did NOT go away for 3 days and 2 nights leaving my children with in-laws & hubby. And I was NOT super excited!!!!

I did NOT miss cooking, cleaning, laundry & changing diapers.

I did NOT eat chips, garlic dip with veggies, brownies, cookies, gummy bears, pizza, Cheetos and anything else I could get my hands on all weekend long. This was NOT after going to doctor for my 30week apt on Fri and finding out I had gained almost 5lbs in 2 weeks!! Guess after this weekend it will be another 5lbs.

One early morning this weekend I did NOT get up to go to the bathroom and walk past our cabin & I did NOT open the door to the cabin next door. Only to discover it was empty & not our cabin. Good thing there was no one in that cabin!

I did NOT say to all my friends that I thought I'd come home to a disaster of a house only to come home to a rather clean & put together house. And did I mention Bill also gave the girls baths too. I did NOT have to apologize to my husband for not giving him enough credit.

My husband did NOT offer to go get a pizza for dinner last night so I wouldn't have to cook & I did NOT turn him down and instead make Tacos for dinner.

I did NOT get into bed last night at 7:30 because I was so tired from our weekend.

It was a fun weekend & I am so glad that I have friends that I can hang with & have a good time.

Not Me Monday

This past week after our daughter had stuck something yet again up her nose (2x in 24hrs) I did NOT wish the doctor would extract it and make it hurt. This Mama would NOT wish for her child to hurt so as to teach her lesson, never.


I did NOT attempt to make bread this week. The middle was NOT done on one of the loaves, which I turned into bread crumbs. However, after baking the 2ND loaf for a bit longer I did NOT eat almost the whole loaf myself!! Leaving my husband to say "What happened to your bread, I never got to try any". Ooops! I did manage to save him 1 slice.

We had a family day on Saturday and visited the Zoo. Before leaving I did NOT forget to ask Ellia if she needed to go to the bathroom when I went. B/C I'm a good toddler Mama and always ask if she needs to go. When we got out to the car she did not proclaim "I have to go peepeee". Since we parked on the street a few blocks away we had no bathroom within close distance. So I did NOT tell Bill to help her pee on the side of the car as I was changing Addies diaper. He did NOT get frustrated trying to make this work and tell me this was more up my alley. We did NOT switch children and I did NOT help Ellia pee on the side of the road. And she did NOT proclaim as she was peeing "I go peepee on the grass mommy"

Not Me Monday

This past week at MOPS I did NOT let my girls eat all the leftovers they wanted after the meeting. They did NOT eat a whole plate of grapes, some muffin pieces and some cookies all while I helped clean up. And then I did NOT take them home and put them to bed without lunch. It may NOT have been a healthy lunch but it was food & their bellies weren't empty.

Ellia is doing so great potty training and has started to finally pick up that poopy also goes in the toilet. So this week when she went poopy in the toilet she started to also pee, she did NOT then stand up mid stream and say "Ohhh no the pee pee is on the poopy". Thus, resulting in me having to explain that the two go together.

Our 2yr old has NOT become a bossy little one. She did NOT tell me this week to change the channel on the radio because "I no like this one". Since when did she become such a music expert?

I did NOT clean my house all week and then yesterday spend 2.5hrs sweeping & cleaning. And while I cleaned I did NOT put on Yo Gabba Gabba for the girls. They did NOT watch 2.5hrs straight and enjoy every moment of it.

This pregnancy I am NOT craving salsa and chips. Therefore we did NOT have tacos 3x in the last week. And one night I did NOT have Bill run to Taco Bell and get me Nachos at 10 o'clock at night. Nope NOT me.

Not Me Monday Thanksgiving edition

Not Me Monday's were started by MckMama to tell others what you have NOT done. Go ahead and share what you have NOT done this week....it's fun.

This past week while getting ready to head out of town for the holiday I did NOT put the girls in their cribs with a snack & toys just so I could vacuum & take a shower.

I did NOT forget about them in their because they were being so good and lay down on the bed for a 20min nap either.

While at Aunt Beth's house for the holiday Addie did NOT knock over a huge 5ft candelabra with burning candles. It did NOT go all over the floor and on the walls. And Bill did NOT iron the wax off the walls.

We were just about to eat Thanksgiving dinner and were starting to pray when Ellia did NOT start saying "No pray" - because she associates prayer with bedtime (even though we too pray at dinner) and started throwing a major fit. I did NOT take her into the office, right off where we were eating and spank her bottom. Bill did NOT tell me later that everyone could hear my spank her bottom along with Uncle Harold's dinner prayer!

I did NOT agree to meet my friends for Black Friday shopping at 2:30am. And I did NOT look at the clock and decide to not go & not call them.

I did NOT get up at 5:45am and go out all by myself and do some shopping.

I did NOT break my hard & fast rule of listening to Christmas music before Thanksgiving and listen to it a few times this past week. I would never treat my favorite holiday like that!

I did NOT eat so much food in the last 5 days that I am sure I have gained 10lbs. I love, love Thanksgiving!
